After $35 laptop project, Government of India recently announced a much bigger breakthrough in IT literacy. This time "A PC on Rent @ Just Rs. 15/ Day". It is a under a pilot project of computer literacy for all. A special computers for rural areas of India. The Government believes that it may reduce the obstruction of affordability to buying a computer for a common man. It may boost the carrier and help to spread the computer literacy for remote areas of India. It coast approx 45 lakh. Government believes that it may reduce the maintenance and repair cost. Government is talking with many companies like HCL, Intel etc.

But, we have to wait for it. Before this experiment the government did same last year to launched a $10 computer project called "Sakshat". But later, that cost $35. So, we have to wait how the govt. keep his promise. 

But it is a very impressive decision and we should appreciate them for it.
